She pulled the covers tighter...

This morning, as I was pulling into work, I noticed a lady pacing back and forth next to her car – which had a flat tire. There were about 15 cars ahead of me in queue for the parking garage. I rolled down my window.

Me: Need any help?
She: If you know anyone who can change a flat tire.
Me: I can do that!

I don’t mind changing tires. My skirt and white sweater are not the most appropriate articles of clothing for getting dirty, but I work right across the street from the mall. As I was twirling the jack to get it to fit under the car about 10 more cars drove slowly by gawking at us. One lady stopped and rolled down her window.

Lady: Can’t you get a guy to do that for you?

The flat tire lady and I just kind of stared at each other and then back at the lady. Obviously not.

Lady: You stay put. I am going to go find you a guy.

My mother raised me to be independent. I don’t need a guy around to help me do things. I can build my own furniture. I can rewire a stereo. I can sit around in my underwear, eat gobs of cheese and watch porn all day. And I can change a goddamn tire.

The fact is, not 1 person that we work with out of the 25 cars that drove by offered to help. If I hadn’t stopped, would anybody have helped this lady? Eventually a cop pulled someone over next to us got railroaded into taking over changing the tire - after he issued a citation. That’s what you get for pulling people over. I smiled on the inside.

HUH? You mean No One stopped to help? I find that Very Difficult to believe. I could see if was me - Fat Gals don't get rescued. But You? Dang! I know you in Real Life and, for those who don't - Men Would Pay Just To Have Crystal Walk By Them! Yep, she's got one of ~Those~ walks *LOL* And a body most horny males dream about. So the fact that you say no one did, is just Not Believeable. N*O*P*E Ain't buyin it! NoNoNo. :-P

I am proud of you. I have never changed a tire in my life-- and I have gotten two flats in the last 45 days. Very proud of you.

I once had a flat along the side of the road and a farmer pulled over to talk to me while I changed it.
