Ryan and I watched Pushing Daisies last night. I loved it!

Ryan: I don't understand why they have to hang out. Why doesn't he just leave her alone?

Me: Because they are in love!

Ryan: Yeah, but if he bumps into her, she is dead. That doesn't make any sense.

Me: They don't want to be apart though. You can't comprehend that because you are an engineer and engineers have no emotions.

Ryan: Now, that's not true. Some engineers love math.

I once felt sorry for somebody who was being really emotional, does that count? Us engineers make up for lack of emotion by being really good at video games.

Engineers in your line of work love to lay pipe, don't they?

e.a. i prefer tubesteak on the face. nice job with the comment on the previous post, btw! hilarious!

beth - beware of the engineer beth! beware! they do make great alarm-clock-putter-back-togetherers after you throw it against the wall in pure frustration because they are showing no emotion.

grunt - you ain't foolin nobody. you love everyone ya big hippie.

neal - is THAT what it is? figures. always seems to be Xbox vs. My box

tinyhands - of course. why do ya think i am with him? actually he coats it. i lay it. and the sad thing is, i am being completely nonsexual when i say that. sort of.

bronx - you're too nice to me. you are definitely not an engineer. you should hold tutorials for engineers.

kelly - i knew you would like pushing daisies for some reason! and they are weird. but also really good at washing dishes.

Neal makes a scarily accurate comment, I bought a new x-box yesterday to replace the drained and snotty feeling that I had. My housemates spent the evening watching me unflinchingly play video games for three hours until I was devoid of that, and any other feeling. Co-engineers in work all agreed that was the best course of action.

Oh, you know what? Sometimes engineers' synthesized understanding of y'all's emotions comes closer to real caring than touchy-feely saccharine drivel does. Everyone's got emotions, some people just need it a little more ... math-based than others do.

Curly - which proves that you may be sick enough not to work but you will never be sick enough not to play xbox.

Dave - there's only one engineer in this world. one engineer with many faces.

Mollyb - that is exactly why i have decided to assign specific real numbers to my private parts and then make him figure out where the hell x is.

photogirl - it is not a movie. it is a tv show that comes on wednesday nights on abc. you NEED to watch it. i know you would love it for the colors alone.

the grunt - i know you estar!

You are hilarious. I found you through Johnny V's blog.

I so get your humour and my husband is an engineer so that last comment almost had my coffee on my screen. Its so true - black and white. Not always a bad thing but yeah....
