feelin crappy

I'm feeling really shitty lately. I haven't felt this shitty since I saved a goose foot from a hunting trip when I was eight and kept it in my jewelry box with the spinning ballerina and then brought it to show and tell three weeks later and it started stinking up the classroom and my teacher made me throw it away in front of everyone.

to our sweet and dearest crystal...

according to your profile pic, it's your nose you need to worry about, not your mouth.

some of us find it quite alluring, not outta some kissable (tho why not) reasons, but 'cuz of the honesty, humor and even frank humility that comes out of it.

while i don't know fully (or fulleh' as i'd normally write) what's going on in your magical world filled with unicorns, rainbows and blue collar union working gnomes, i do know that the hardest thing to do is admit when you've done wrong, hurt someone, or worse, your actions have hurt many others.

you've done what you can do, likely. share your frustration, your obviously lack of a converted rabbit's-foot-to-duckie-keychain, and jes' laid it all out there for folks to either accept, or blow you off.

while the latter options SOUNDS fun and something that should involve lube and a camera, it's NOT, and it's PROOF that those people weren't really your true friends to begin with.

for what it's worth... ahhh love ya.

so, accept this LDH (long distance hug) and hold it as long as you need it.

I forgive you! For what, I don't know, but I'm magnanimous and generous and all that junk, so have granted you a second chance!

You may now give me money. Or (more likely) hit me with sticks. ;)

I don't know if I can compete with the rest of the comments above me, but I'm sure once you purge your sorrows to whomever you've wronged, they will forgive you. Making a mistake is only worthwhile if you can learn something from it. Best wishes..

You know, I'm a male, which means I live in a perpetual state of having to apologize to women for something stupid I've done. But I know where you're coming from. I think the truest testament of someone with a good heart is that you truly want to be good and I'd be willing to bet that your missteps are puncuated with long periods of things you've done very well.

I do have to say, though, that I really miss the profile pick of your rack.

Crystal,
Two words - Traveling Mercies by Ann Lamott. I think that you'll like it - the book changed my life. Sorry that you feel crummy. I remember that feeling all too well.
I love your sense of humor - you have a true gift.
My best to you-
Lesley
